The aim of the Jigsaw Centre is to re-integrate pupils into school; therefore the requirements of the National Curriculum are taken into account in our planning. All pupils have a right to a broad, balanced and relevant education which provides continuity and progression and takes individual differences into account.

Work in the Centre is designed to meet the requirements of the National Curriculum. The curriculum is enhanced with opportunities for building pupils self-esteem, resilience and confidence in order for them to be successfully reintegrated back into an appropriate school/setting, that will meet their individual needs.

Jigsaw’s curriculum comprises of all the learning and other experiences planned within the centre for the pupils. The national curriculum forms only one part of the school curriculum.
